The rotary may claim, and in fact move the blade at speeds the magnetic motor can't, but it doesn't have the same smooth, professional feel either. The main difference is the rotary motor in the cordless versus the magnetic motor in the corded version. It looks like the corded version which became the standard in the Barber Industry, but is an entirely different beast.
